Plotting Post: Fae Festivities
OOC INTRO(S) & PLOTTING
Hello and welcome to Children of Bahamut!
This OOC post will be for all your introductory and/or plotting needs! For newcomers, we want to give a space to outline their initial thoughts and plans to get started strong. For established players, feel free to make your event and other plans for the month of November here!

About: hi hello my name is chai and I'm a pretty average guy. I'm also one of your main moderators! I helped make this game pretty and iron out Owen's ideas in to event format, but he's the dragon guru.

Canon Point: After Chapter 13 (Redemption), but before the events of Chapter 14 (Homecoming). There's a nebulous ten year gap there that I'm scruffing Ardyn from like the feral cat that he is.
Dragon Bond: Jhank Troth, a silver metallic dragon who is a stupid narc in his head that'll make Ardyn feel bad about his shitty choices. THANKS, HE HATES IT.
About Your Blorbo: Ardyn is, on a surface level, very theatrical and seemingly unbothered by a lot. The man doesn't appear to take much seriously and makes jokes or pokes fun at even dire circumstances. He can come across as creepy, suggestive but also civil, composed, and calm even in the face of hostility.
This is all just thinly veiled attempts to provoke others though since he's basically got some literal demonic sludge disease in his body that tells him to be an asshole. He also is just kind of an asshole sometimes without it needing to influence him, but still! He's a man who believes revenge is a dish best served cold over millennia but also wants an end to his exhausting, miserable existence once he gets it.
Event Plan(s): Well, this event sure is right up Ardyn's alley.
Interested In: Ardyn is a villainous sort so that means he can be manipulative, cold, and calculating when trying to get what he wants. Obviously, the long-term is he gets better about this and isn't such a dick eventually. Immediately though, I am here for him to cause problems on purpose and suffer the consequences of it. Like the bathtub moonshine debacle! Ah, that was fun.
Personally, I also like exploring the depths of depravity he can reach and some of the darker, more fucked up parts of him. I know that isn't for everyone though so either lmk or I'll check in if things start veering a potentially Bad Direction.

Canon Point: When she thinks she's McDead!

Dragon Bond: Rosie has Demora Luthric, a green dragon, in her brain! She was a therapist for veterans and loved being out in nature. Considering Rosie needs both of those things, this will hopefully be good for her!
About Your Blorbo (cw: mentions of sex work): If you combine the songs Blank Space by Taylor Swift and Fergalicious by Fergie, you get Rosie as a person. She's a hypersexual nightmare dressed as a daydream. She had spent her life the last few years before here basically being the person - specifically rich older men who want to fuck her - most desired in the moment. As a result, she doesn't really like to let people get to know the real her... because she also thinks the real her is pretty ugly, honestly. While quite emotionally driven, she is also emotionally dysregulated. She tends to be easily jealous, petty, and horribly insecure... But! She also loves music, cares deeply about those she considers friends, and truly just wants a quiet simple life with lots of dogs even if she fights against that and makes bad choices.
Event Plan(s): So far, Rosie has been living it up and treating being here as a second chance at life. She enjoys simple domesticity more than she thought she would, too! Without trashy daytime TV entertainment, she's been forced to write her own friendfiction as well as start to matchmake / be a busy body in other people's lives.
For this event specifically though...
Interested In: Eventually, I want her to hit the wall of trying to keep people at arm's length for several reasons (that all mostly go back to being afraid of the connection) and feeling displaced, othered, and alone once again. Hopefully, this is where her dragon-soul can help her by 1) making it so she isn't literally alone and 2) trying to guide her to be a little more vulnerable with people.
Long-term, I also want her to find value in herself outside of sex & feeling like she needs to appeal to / be liked by everyone she comes across.

Character: Sephiroth (the younger one)
Canon: Final Fantasy 7:Ever Crisis
Canon Point: End of Part 1
Age: In the vicinity of 16. Maybe a bit older, who knows.
Dragon Bond: Earenk Lorsvek is .. well, was, a green dragon, a parks and rec worker, curious and nosy and tending towards interfering with the best of intentions. It didn't always go well. She sounds like Sephiroth always imagined Mom would sound, so it's given him a few minor issues.
About Your Blorbo: As of RIGHT NOW, Sephiroth is a frequent sight in Town, constantly and relentlessly prowling around for something to do. He is at loose ends, terribly restless about it, and isn't very good at picking things to do on his own. He's quiet, not particularly friendly but does his best to stay polite, dislikes socializing for socializing's sake and suspicious of outright overtures of kindness and friendliness, but is an extremely hard worker and most content with a task to work on .. in silence. Happily of late there's a lot that needs doing. He's already developing a bit of a reputation for tending towards aggressive methods of handling nearly any problem he comes across.. a diplomat, he is not.
Event Plan(s): So as much as Sephiroth is very much not interested in parties, he's also had an earful about how bad it can go if the Fae are offended, so since he was invited, he's going. Unfortunately he's not much interested in games and even less in socializing, so he'll be maintaining the bare minimum needed to satisfy their fae hosts. Any and all food is at imminent risk of being devoured, however.
While i am VERY INTERESTED in some of the deep Forest shenanigans, I don't currently have a reasonable avenue to pursue these, though I'm keeping an eye out for opportunities.
Also kind of side-eyeing the potential long term disastrous plot hook that is giving his name to the Forest Gentry.
Interested In: Someone give this kid things to do! He's a malinois without a Job. I am open to any and all CR, with the exception of polyamorous romance right now.

He's also got kind of a chip on his shoulder about standoffish cool broody guys so while it's possible he'd give Sephiroth space, you can't have CR about that, and Popp is trying to get better about doing things that intimidate him. I think it would be fun if he hung out with MiniSeph on purpose and tried to make him do Activities.

Dragon Bond: Kepesk Hurthi - a black dragon who was calm in the face of adversity and good at handling and resolving conflict. Also had a fondness for fishing.
About Your Blorbo: One of FFXIV's first major antagonists, this version of Lahabrea is from a point in time prior to going down the slippery slope to full on villainy. Instead, he is reasonably upstanding member of his society who comes across as nothing so much as an overly stern and serious professor. He's also not real great at most anything that involves either showing or talking about emotions.
Game/Event Plan(s): Lahabrea is not, exactly, a party person. But he is curious and if nothing else will come out to see what else is going on. Beyond that I mostly intend to just toss him various places, given that he's only just gotten here.
Interested In: Anything! Lahabrea has just recently gotten here, and will be working on getting himself familiarized with the world and its people

About: I'm AF, I live with Holly (our Popp player), and most of my time is spent rotating Avan in my head or playing FFXIV. This is my only game and I am filled with New Blorbo energy so I've been tagging a bunch and this will likely continue.

Dragon Bond: Yarrow Laurel, the steel dragon, was a detective in life, and much like Avan himself, he really liked just chatting with people and getting to know them.
About Your Blorbo: Avan is a supergenius prodigy whose main goal is making sure nobody ever figures out that he's a supergenius prodigy because people don't like supergenius prodigies. He's just a goofy little guy who likes having fun with his buddies and cooking and handicrafts and definitely doesn't have any sword skills or magic-casting ability! Popp might already know that he'll soon be the Legendary Hero who defeats the Dark Lord, but nobody needs to know just how close he is to being that already.
Game/Event Plan(s): Finally, ~enrichment in his enclosure~ He is for sure going bobbing for onions until he wins that onion bag, okay, he needs it. Other party shenanigans are also likely to grab his attention, at least for a little while, and Slayd has promised to show him a model train, which he is very excited about.
He is not likely to leave the party to explore the rest of the forest without some sort of specific reason to. He might be a clown, but he is not a fool.
Interested In: Avan wants to make friends with everybody, because he needs enrichment in his enclosure and if he does not get it, he will make his own. He has been especially interested in learning about the technology from various other worlds because frankly the only thing keeping him from being a tech guy in canon is that he comes from a fantasy world without electricity.

About: Hi! I'm Shesha, I work in the medical field and am interested in a ton of different things. Video games, space, writing, going out to find cool rocks, etc! I was on vacation for almost half of last month so I didn't get to do as much as I'd wanted, but I am NOW HERE.

Age: Thousands and thousands, man this boy be ancient.
Dragon Bond: Nannan Urathear, Steel dragon. Nannan found themselves bereft of a true desire for specific work in their life, tending to do odd jobs that allowed them to eke out a modest existence. They were however, possessed of a deep desire to understand the world, to live in the singular moment and reveled in the mystery of endless tomorrows. While esoteric, many found them agreeable and calming to be around with their "go with the flow" attitude. Show them an interesting leaf and they will be occupied for hours. They were also noted to have an affinity for halfling herb.
About Your Blorbo: Copied from last plotting post:
Local intense twink with a penchant for piano, sparring, and balance here to help people out and be earnest and sincere to a fault. He has endured an immense amount of tragedy in his long years, but despite the loss of everything and everyone he had ever known or loved - including the gradual loss of his very memories and identity (which were restored in the end) - he endured. So long as he had his duty, he would always endure. I could write a LOT on this man and his character with the various depths that he has - especially if you take him from different points in canon... but the core of him is love of all kinds. Emissary of the Convocation of Fourteen, his impartial judgements seldom err.
Game/Event Plan(s): After the unfortunate mess with the bathtub moonshine, a party where he WON'T feel horribly ill is going to be fantastic.
- Elidibus is going to go for the prizes for Battleship and also Onions. The nectar is extremely useful, and you can always use delicious onions in your cooking. It'll be a great time in the games! He won't do the dress up, however, he's comfortable with his usual attire.
- He has no plans on going into the deeper forest for himself, but can and will accompany others or go after people if they might need his help. Happy to help!
- He spent the better part of last month slowly building his piano and enchanting it so that he can make it portable/summon it at will wherever he wants (and to make it be protected from various hazards). But now that time will be well-spent! He's going to whip out an entire grand piano and start playing with Slayd.
- For most of the party he will be friendly with everyone he meets - he's very social, after all! But he'll spend much of the time observing as well, keeping a watchful eye out and ready to defend against any issues that might arise from the fae present. That includes fending off any who may insist on trades, or helping someone to be known by a title not their name. He'll be your defense or your offense - and will be glad to do it.
Interested In: Elidibus is here to have a good time and to get to know the others better. However that turns out, I'm interested in exploring! He has a lot of love and care to give to others, especially since he's settling in to seeing this place as a new home. Positive or negative CR is accepted, though he's a rather forgiving individual in many areas.

About: I've been having fun here and building momentum! My latest hobbies are playing Dragon Quest and swearing at a dollhouse I am making. Age: 16
Dragon Bond: Senrik Tolkur, green dragon. Nosy, charismatic, and aimless in life. Once they start talking, Popp is going to be real mad that they have so much in common.
About Your Blorbo: Popp, by nature, is sensitive, hotheaded, cowardly, and insecure about like half a dozen different personal hangups. He's very reactive to Shenanigans and can be a real petty little bitch when he's in a mood.
He's also managed to successfully bully himself into being a genuinely caring and heroic person in a way that doesn't erase the aforementioned traits. These days, he's so afraid of being a coward that he'll run headlong into danger instead. He's kind of a mess but he's a good kid at heart.
Game/Event Plan(s): He's been keeping busy, although some of that has been busy slacking off. He works on improving his magic by himself - he's open about being a mage, though, and is often seen flying to take shortcuts - and runs miscellaneous errands. He's also getting stubby little horns.
EVENT-WISE: He's here for the fun and games! That will be happening! (I'm gonna curse him.) If you want someone to drag a grumpy character into The Revelry he will absolutely peer pressure them into sticking their hand in a box. He won't risk the dressup, though, he doesn't respect the concept... but I do have a suitably dumb outfit prepared if someone makes him do it.
Obviously going into the forest is a bad idea, and he's smart enough to stay out of there unless someone else goes in and/or implies that he would be a chicken if he did not. C'mon, he's not a chicken, he'll show you! Would love to have him fight an owlbear.
Interested In: First of all, just about anything. Second of all, ADVENTURES. I like it when he gets to show off his magic and I also like it when he gets owned, and adventures provide a lovely avenue for both. CR his own age would also be great, he's meeting so many cool adults and is pretty intimidated by most of them. He's been a little mouthy here and there but his character archetype requires bickering for enrichment.

About: Hi, I'm Star! I’m an office worker and permanently exhausted pigeon living in the GMT+8 timezone. About Your Blorbo: Absinthe is a DnD OC, an adventurer fresh out of the official campaign Waterdeep: Dragon Heist. She’s Proudly Adopted, raised by bandits, and moved to the big city of Waterdeep to seek her fortune! Which she had found, but unfortunately had to donate most of it back to the city because her party got some blood on it. What I mean by that is uhhhhh it’s blood money now. Lmao.
She’s a Tiefling Rogue/Warlock at Level 6. I've also got an infopage here with slightly more details!
Game/Event Plan(s):
🗡️Absinthe will be attending the Fae Festival and partying, watching the performances, and so on! The main game she’ll be focusing on is Battleship, because she’s a bit competitive and would get sucked into a series of “one more game”-s until she wins. Unfortunately, I rolled a few losses for her until she won, so she’ll be pretty cursed.
🗡️As for the other games, Absinthe can still be roped into your character’s attempt at them, just let me know if you’ve got ideas!
🗡️ Though she won’t go into the forest herself, Absinthe might try to organise some search parties if gossip gets around that people are sneaking off into the forest? Is this something people might be interested in doing? This could be a network post or something that could then branch off into your own search-and-rescue (or be rescued) threads.
Interested In: Please let me know if your character would engage with a search party thing (e.g. would your character lead a search party into the woods? Is your character getting lost and are you interested in them needing rescue from their CR?) Because Absinthe doesn’t have… a lot of close CR at the moment orz… so I don’t get a lot of mileage from this personally, but I think it could be fun, if people are interested.

Popp also has a competitive streak, there don't seem to be any directly pvp games but they could egg each other on/heckle each other as they play battleship and get progressively Cursed.

Character: Mithrun of the House of Kerensil
Canon: Dungeon Meshi
Canon Point: post-canon plus Amani CRAU!
Age: 187
Dragon Bond: Molik Umbraxakar was an egotistical, hateful, duplicitous fuck of a white dragon, and Mithrun hates him. So far, he mostly hates him because he hates that Molik has linked their souls at all - but the more Mithrun hears from him, the more he's going to despise him on a personal level, because... well, Mithrun used to be a lot like Molik, and he really doesn't care for the man he used to be.
About Your Blorbo: Mithrun is a fucked up little* elf mage with a paramilitary background and SO many mental health problems. Thanks to Some Shit that happened during his service, he's deeply depressed, sometimes paranoid, and pretty disconnected from his own needs.
Externally, he can seem spacey or alarmingly intense by turns, and is often pretty rude without meaning to be. Every so often, though, he'll go to the effort of a surprisingly genuine attempt at extending compassion - or his smug streak and barely identifiable sense of humor will rear their heads. One of those.
*Mithrun is average height and actually pretty built for an elven man from his setting, but that puts him at 5'1" and still fairly twinkish. Little compared to most of DWRP.
Game/Event Plan(s): Mithrun is still pretty unhappy with the whole "dragon tethered itself to his soul" situation, but he's making do and keeping busy where he can. ...And trying not to think about the stubby little horns starting to grow in, or his pupils starting to change shape. None of that. It helps that Angeal, who he started a relationship with in their previous game, is reopening his bakery here, so Mithrun will be working there!
As for event-specific plans:
- Mithrun isn't all that interested in games, but... he was told to play them. So he will. I am ALWAYS a fan of putting him in outfits, so I MIGHT be doing that to him. He will most likely not care too much what he gets put in. Alternately, his total lack of aversion to bad mouth experiences may be beneficial in bobbing for onions. Many possibilities.
- (possibly nsfw) He will also be eyeing the food and those huts with some suspicion. His last world was a sex game that actively incentived intimacy, so, he's half expecting something to Happen to facilitate that. He will be open about this expectation if asked why he's being weird (in this specific way), and is pretty much neutral about the possibility.
- He will not mean to leave the party... but his sense of direction is absolutely terrible, and if he happens to wander out of bounds while the people he came with aren't looking, he will end up in the deep forest. Fortunately, he's both very proficient in combat and deeply mistrustful of anything that operates like the creatures here. He won't be making any trades, and will be available to step in if someone needs help with the danger at hand!
Interested In: Big shrug!! Everything! Mithrun needs to meet more folks outside his Amani circle, and I'm a big fan of positive and negative CR alike - or one turning into the other, lmao. By and large, he'll be the most Weird Little Guy mode at the party itself (in and out of planned prompts), and more in his element and able to help others out as needed in the forest.
Anything else? Permissions here, general and character-specific! Dungeon Meshi elves are very fantasy racist, and while Mithrun himself doesn't so much believe in those ideas... he definitely used to, and it can still bleed through in his use of terminology etc. Additionally, his backstory comes with a handful of warnings, including major lore spoilers (and some additional warnings that won't come up unless we REALLY get into it, if it starts looking relevant I will check before bringing it up in RP - feel free to ask ahead, though).

About: I go by Maruah (she/her/them are fine). Late forties, been RPing in DWRP for um... a few years now! Hobbies are reading, gaming, RPing, crafting and espousing useless but hopefully interesting trivia.

About Your Blorbo: Gaia is a fairly straightforward, low-filter 'speaks her mind' teenager. She has the air of someone that lived an affluent life and has been through a lot; kidnapping, memories stolen from her (twice!!) and finding out her heritage/what it means to be the Oracle of Darkness (an pole-like element in FFXIV that promotes activity/change/transformation in other elements/life versus 'Light' that is stasis/order/static). She comes from a world that was almost completely enshrouded in the element of Light (eternal stasis) that has only recently been free of its inevitable fate of being finally consumed.
But despite her upbringing, she does have that tsundere 'kind heart' and is absolutely the type to be no-nonsense and not get caught up worrying about what she lost, so much as the life she chooses for herself. And if that means learning how to live a less humble life and helping to make her world a better place, that's just fine with her!
Game Plan(s) and Progress: Gaia has definitely settled in, picking a house and working to prepare for the upcoming winter. She has likely to have been seen in the company of the younger (teenage) Sephiroth. It probably can't be called friendship (yet) but they definitely know one another and sometimes even work together on tasks.
While she can sometimes be seen wearing the clothes she arrived in (definitely her aesthetic), she spends a lot of time lately wearing the local garb. Well, with a nod to her appearance of course but the important thing is having the right clothes. Especially as it's starting to get colder. And as those scales start to form on her skin.
Interested In: Friendships! Exploring dragon instincts! Drama is good but not excessive drama. It should make sense in context. Comedic value, cast and noncast interaction! Fashion! Learning new skills! Pursuing lessons on (currently low powered) abilities. Family!
Fae Festival: Gaia will attend the festival and put up with the receipt of gifts. She'll follow the rules (except possibly that suspicious one about lying to the old woman) and want to stay in the bounds of the event grounds. She comes from a place that knows how to treat with the Fae. (That is to say carefully and not at all if you don't have to.)
But if someone gets lost or comes to her to help rescue someone, she could be convinced to go along. She'll probably be trying for the bobbing for onions and maybe the battleship game.
In general, she'll also be open to odd jobs and quests while trying to store essentials for the winter months and save money. She's open to learning new skills or fostering her innate abilities.
Anything else? Gaia may or may not ping as 'ascended human' because of her Ascian... heritage? It's a bit of a gray area. She's definitely nowhere near the powerhouse of other Ascians and has a lot to learn about her abilities (in addition they're definitely powered down) but she has the potential to pull some tricks here and there.

Ossalur could only be described as a classic adventurer through and through. Bouncing from one fiasco to the next. He always left a strong impression in his wake and was a dragon known for having connections. His first and foremost priority was helping people. No task too big, no job too banal, Ossalur would do it all without hesitation if it brought light to those who needed it. In times when he found himself in need of help, he had countless many to call upon for various skills and information who were all too happy to return the favor. That said, he was known to be a bit... odd. Not in a bad way, but more in a kind of chaotic 'cooking with explosives' kind of way.
About Your Blorbo: Emet-Selch is an Ancient and one of fourteen representatives of his world's governing body, his duties being those that involve the Underworld (ie. aetherial sea or lifestream) and his ability to see souls. He's a powerful mage and spends much of his free time wrangling his two gremlin friends. At first meeting, he can be quite prickly and grumpy, but one will soon learn that he's a rather sentimental sort who will cave to the whims of others if he feels the issue warrants his attention (and if others ask nicely enough). He's passionate about theatre, magicks, good literature and long naps in the park.
Event Plan(s): Emet-Selch will begrudgingly take part in the festivities, mostly on his quest to better understand the intricacies of this world and its cultures, as well as his fellow otherworlders. Ignorance is far from bliss, after all.
★ You may find him paused within the canyon on the way to the party to stop and admire the glow worms' celestial display.
★ The games Emet-Selch will agree to are Battleship and What's In The Box. He will under no circumstance agree to bob for onions. Do you seriously expect him to get his robes wet?
★ He will perform with Slayd & The Possums. His violin skills are actually quite good (he's had thousands of years worth of practice!). Feel free to pressure him into playing a few more songs or challenge him to a musical duel. He will likely oblige since it means he will have a reprieve from being asked by the fae to play even more games with them.
★ He will NOT be venturing into the depths of the forest willingly. However, if anyone comes to him for help in locating a missing person who just so happened to ignore the rules, then he may agree to lend his assistance. He'll be much more likely to provide aid if the individual in question is someone he's previously spoken to, or a friend of a friend. Or you can just say "please".
★ Emet-Selch isn't even his true name, so feel free to toss it around at your leisure. Out of an abundance of caution (via The Rules), he'll refrain from calling anyone else by their names either. Enjoy whatever fun nicknames he conjures up for the duration of the event!
★ If you lose track of your shadow, he will help chase it down for you. Although it will be up to you to catch it, obviously.
★ As for the dragon transformation, Emet-Selch's robes hide the small clusters of dark scales that have begun to form over his skin. You may notice that his nails have grown longer and pointed with golden undertones, and occasionally his pupils will narrow into a thin slit if anything particularly annoys or surprises him. There is also a faint line of stubble beginning to grow along his jawline closest to his ears, as if he missed a spot when he shaved this morning.
Interested In: Friends, enemies, frenemies, "it's complicated", mage pals and intellectuals, gremlins and hero types...the man likes to stay busy, or at least moderately entertained, so any sort of (mis)adventures he can get pulled into would be excellent. Any artsy sorts should also mesh well with him, as he enjoys poetry and the performing arts.
In particular I very much support the idea of him being a mentor, teacher, or (Zodiark forbid) a role model of some sort whether it be in magicks, swordsmanship, or history. If that's something you're interested in, too, we can make it happen.
Anything else? I have a soul sight permissions post over here! He's been actively looking for people who are willing to have their souls evaluated (by himself and Hythlodaeus - lovely, delightful man) so they can better understand the impact the dragon-souls are having on those of the characters. Age: Sheliak will say he's 21 but he's actually closer to 23ish. His magic slows his aging and the calendar was different on his world. 21 is also a personal choice for other important reasons
Dragon Bond: A green dragon named Levex whose greatest enjoyment in life was beauty. Making herself beautiful, and those who came to her with the desire to be so as well. A master of make-up, a connoisseur of clothing, matching color and shape effortlessly. She was paid well for her services and did work for various organizations, least of all the theater, the royalty, politicians of note and many of the nobility of both dragon and mankind. Not only was she known for outward beauty, she was known for her confidence. Thankfully, this is something she shared, instilling the same sense of confidence and pride within those she spent time with. Hopefully she can help Sheliak accept the beauty in the flawed side he hides behind his mask of perfection.
About Your Blorbo: Sheliak was the only son and sole heir to the Saarela house and he was forced to carry the incredibly high expectations of his house. His family was so certain they could make him great that they named him after a minor constellation instead of relying on the goddess’s favor by choosing a major constellation. He maintains a careful stillness, never causing any unnecessary ripples that could damage his family’s reputation and he hides his flaws behind a mask of perfection. He’s cold, arrogant and calculating, however deep down he resents the responsibility that has been forced on him. Underneath his mask he’s more selfish, impulsive and passionate, although it’s always a battle for him to accept these imperfect feelings that he hides away. Although sometimes you can see a hint of the side he hides behind his mask, like with his love for music and his habit of napping where he deliberately chooses places that won’t inconvenience anyone but he also stubbornly refuses to move unless he has to. His strange habit has earned him the nickname of sleeping beauty.
Game/Event Plan(s):
General Plans - Sheliak is new and I'm excited to see how he grows here! He’s been stranded on another world before so he will stubbornly focus on adjusting to this new world rather than think about how devastated he is about his best friend and love Arrakis's death. As a mage he’s duty bound to help others so he will work with others well enough. Unfortunately he's a noble so he may need some reminding to help out, unless there is a crisis, and his arrogant attitude will probably get him into trouble.
I welcome clashes with his elitist worldview! His rivalry with Altair, the first commoner to be chosen as a mage, was the best way to get him to question his views. He can be incredibly stubborn however and that has only gotten worse after his world was destroyed since clinging to what he knows is how he copes.
Event Plans - Sheliak is new to this world and the last thing he wants to do is offend the fae by not accepting their invitation. Sheliak may seem like he belongs at social gatherings like this but he's an introvert at heart and he will slip away to one of the huts for a well deserved nap.
Sheliak can be very competitive so he will be reluctantly curious about the games. I'm open to all of them but I'm particularly interested in three:
Battleship - Sheliak is an excellent strategist so he will feel personally insulted if he misses. He will not rest until he has found them all.
What's in the box - Sheliak may look human but he's secretly a being of magic that is tied to a human soul. His human form is nothing more than a physical vessel for his magic now and it is crafted by his memories of when he was still human. He can still feel things if he focuses on how it felt when he was human but it still feels like he's looking back on a memory instead of the real thing. Touch is especially affected and he won't be able to determine what memory he should focus on if he can't see what he's touching, making this game near impossible for him. Yet even knowing that Sheliak misses being human so he will be drawn to the game regardless. This will be a fun opportunity to hint that he's not as human as he pretends to be. Or maybe he's just terrible at guessing.
Bobbing for Onions - As the water mage Sheliak is obsessed with water, and he can breath underwater so this one could be fun, if someone can convince him to try this ridiculous game.
Sheliak loves music so he will be watching Slayd & The Possums perform, as well as any other talented individuals who going him. He has no musical talent though so he will not be participating. He's also gentler with musicians.
While Sheliak would not disobey the rules and wander off on his own, if others may be in danger he won't hesitate to offer his assistance. He has a terrible sense of direction however and will end up getting hopelessly lost. All of the layers sound intriguing! The second and fourth interest me the most. I want to give him a cursed object from home and the reflection in the pools of the fourth layer is similar to the water mage's ability that lets him see how close someone is to death.
Interested In: Everything! Positive, negative, it's complicated, etc. Sheliak is new and I love seeing where unexpected CR goes. Sheliak can be a bit of an asshole so negative CR is easy for him. I love it when negative CR challenges him to be better though so please come torment him! Shipping could be fun down the line. He's still grieving over the loss of his first love so he's not looking for another relationship but if it happens naturally I'm all for it! Some other specifics are rivals, chess players, musicians, fellow magic users and non humans. Sheliak has a lot of conflicted feelings about his magic and the magical being he secretly is.
Anything else? Sheliak just arrived so he hasn't noticed his dragon soul yet, except that it has made his water magic weaker, like when his soul had to get used to his magic when he was first chosen. His magic will grow stronger as his bond with his dragon deepens.
Also, when Sheliak uses too much magic he turns into a water snake, a mythical creature from his world that's a snake with a foxlike face and a crest of fur down its back. His human consciousness is asleep when he's an animal. It's replaced with an animal mindset with his personality so it's a fun way to see what Sheliak is like without his mask. If enough people are interested I might make a transformation log after the event.

About Your Blorbo: Byleth is a weird little dude with some wild-ass circumstances. He has some trouble expressing himself with his incredibly flat-affect, but feels emotions deeply as anyone else. He's curious about other people and loves to observe. He also loves fishing, cooking, sparring and tea parties. It is said amongst his students that he gives wonderful lectures, though Byleth attests he mostly just tells stories. People also find him approachable and easy to bear one's heart to, citing that he is a good listener.
Game/Event Plan(s): Byleth entered at the very end of his own game, rather a year after. He is tentatively feeling his way through things here but things are going to get real crazy for him. For this event, he is going to be venturing to the core of the forest and encountering a CRAU of himself, gaining those memories. He will struggle to parse those against his own feelings and emotions, as well as seek out the people he now "remembers".
Interested In: There's probably gonna be some angst, but also potential for happy reunions and the forging of fresh new-old relationships. He will probably end up making a post about his experiences and reach out to contact those whom he knew before. He will probably be a bit lost for a while and more willing to seek the comfort of company.

Having struggled most of their life and been the victim of some genuinely terrible luck and circumstances, they became quite bitter. Having had to raise themself, they also named themself. Killstar. At the time they thought this was edgy and fitting. Later they would look upon their former life with something near pity. They very much found a family, having done odd-jobs and making it on their own for so long, it took them a long time to settle. Eventually though, they did. They gained a much healthier insight which they set about using for the betterment of those who were in the same position they once were."
About Your Blorbo: CW existential troubles and also suicidality
You may have heard of Ultimate Dirk? The Omni-Dirk, the Ur-Dirk, the Uber-Dirk, the Dirk that is Himself in sum and whole, rising from all Dirks in every iteration and extension? This isn't him. This is the one who had to die to make that story happen--he WAS him, until the fork in the road of Ultimate Dirk's becoming. Now he's basically a shadow of himself. Almost literally so.
So, we're off to a great start. Especially because Dirk was already bad at people. He wants attention, but he also refuses to acknowledge that about himself. Right now this is compounded by the fact that he's SUPREMELY not okay and he's having a really hard time with A. being alive and B. his connection to the fabric of reality. He's playing it cool about the dying thing now, so to speak. He will probably make a lot of inappropriate "jokes" about it. But that's all he'll do.
He's otherwise dissociating a lot and trying really hard to 'play along' but his stamina for that varies. When he runs out, he's likely to start talking about things that just don't make any fucking sense. Which would be standard for Homestuck but like no one from Homestuck would understand what he's talking about either. He is unmoored from any kind of context and BOY is he acting like it.
Basically, tag Dirk for a Weird Time. And probably rudeness. I promise nothing beyond that.
Game/Event Plan(s): Well. He's not having a GOOD time. He is not really 'taking care of' himself, he is still not sure where he ends and the meta begins here, and also he's stir crazy immediately because Dirk HATES being confined. He's genre savvy enough to know better than to fuck with fae anything, but.... he may legit go wandering out of sheer fucking spite. Also he doesn't care what happens to him, and also he's pretty sure he can prevent it. The truth behind these beliefs may vary.
Interested In: Dirk presents as antagonistic to a lot of characters; this is fun to me, rude banter and character conflicts give me strength, and this does not actually mean he DISLIKES your character, it just means he doesn't know how to be a person and he was also in the process of being the big bad of his canon ON PURPOSE so he's just got Mean on the Brain. Also his Brain is Mean anyway. He's a huge critic. It's just who he is. If you're REALLY nice to him AND you get lucky, he might soften up. Or if you appeal to his ego. He likes that. Otherwise, expect to be confounded and impressed (derogatory) by him.

murderousadventurous streak.About Your Blorbo: Gethen's a vengeful assassin-turned-MMO deuteragonist, sharing the role usually reserved for GW2's singular player character with the man he once vowed to kill. These days he's a tracker, hunter, and brawler, called the "Wayfinder" by his newer wizardly colleagues. As might be expected, he's a quiet, pragmatic type, used to running diplomacy despite his distaste for it.
He's also a ranger/druid - he loves animals of all kinds and is fairly cautious when it comes to disturbing the balance of nature, not out of any sense of morality, but out of an awareness that he never knows who or what may be watching. He tries his best to be agreeable, but Gethen's a little stiff and awkward with other people. Works hard to keep his vicious temper in check and is pretty good at it.
He is also currently seemingly unbothered by his dragon changes. He's noticed them, but is either repressing very hard or simply unsurprised by them. ( Spoiler alert: it's the latter)

Interested In: Pretty much anything at this point, but more specifically I'd love to find Geth a roomie (or roomies) and some fellow crafters! This is also a good chance to set up some negative CR if that's your thing - maybe Sapphire stole something, maybe Gethen broke something, maybe he AU'd and mauled someone, all sorts of things could happen here.
Anything else? Gethen's catch-all is coming up; among other things, he'll be putting out a call for a caster round-up for some helping hands following a bit of one-on one with Charlie. More on that when it's ready, but feel free to reach out in the meantime!

About Your Blorbo: here we have ko tenjin, my blorbo of blorbos, the small god-shaped young man who really just wants a place to rest. he has an immense guilt and self-imposed duty to rectify the sins of his ancestor, who had ruled and brainwashed a big portion of the japanese population. years and years later in ko's time, there's a sort of cure for that brainwashing. he'll put himself to the side in order to see that sin rectified.
besides all that, he's been appointed as a god and savior, he likes plants himself, and he's a tone-deaf singer/performer who works very hard!
