Hello and welcome to Children of Bahamut!

This OOC post will be for all your introductory and/or plotting needs! For newcomers, we want to give a space to outline their initial thoughts and plans to get started strong. For established players, feel free to make your event and other plans for the future here!

You can use the form below! If you play more than one character, you're free to make a top-level for just your relevant player information and comment beneath with each respective character.

As a few quick notes:

⁂ The Brain Boggling event log is up in its entirety! Use this post to plot for it, but feel free to top-level or tag into the actual event at your leisure.
⁂ We want to encourage people to continue to use the quest board to get themselves established in the community and building reputation if they want something to do!
⁂ Character claims are always open until we hit the player cap! So, please keep checking back on this post for new players or characters that might be added to ensure everyone receives a warm welcome!

Most of all, we want people to have fun and let us know if your character gets up to anything good, bad, or whatever! All of it will influence the world around them and potentially have benefits or consequences.

About: I'm a gal who likes cute things and monsters :3 and cute monsters, I guess. IDK! My tagging speed has been sporadic but RL/elsewhere events have calmed down enough that I can focus now.

⁂ PLOT WITH ME
Character: Seto Kaiba
Canon: Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters (anime)
Canon Point: Immediately after the final episode
Age: 17
Dragon Bond: Fintir Nannan a (blue-eyed) white dragon and proud warrior woman. She Befriended people through the pride and joy of combat, which is something Kaiba will be dragged into learning how to do :P (But he has Ryou as an influence there...)

About Your Blorbo: Kaiba was the CEO of a gaming company and really fixated on being The Best at card games. 'I'm not here to make friends' was his motto in life. He also really loved a very specific dragon. Now he's becoming one, and going to be forced how to make friends.

Game/Event Plan(s): Kaiba is calming down a little under the influence of his roommate/boyfriend. He hasn't been too worried about the transformation so far, and especially as this event starts he'll be aggravated that he isn't strong enough to fight yet. Right now he's mostly doing handyman tasks to contribute, and I'd like to see him keep accidentally bonding :P

Event-specific plans: Once he sees what kind of madness is going on, he'll wisely stay out of the way. I'm not opposed to having him attacked, but I haven't decided yet. He has a few memories that can either present him as a sad boy or a menace.

Interested In: Kaiba definitely needs to find some games to play or something. Saving up bond points for cards eventually, but a basic local game would work too...it's how Fintir will be subtly urging him to bond with others. And as his transformation progresses he'll have a lot more questions for the people who are further along. Someone who can tolerate that would be great. I especially love found family and would love to build to that someday :3

As far as quests, for a beginner dragonling something like Trash or Treasure would probably be good for him to go with a stronger partner. He knows judo and is skilled with throwing weapons, but he's still Squishy.

I would love to have these two interact! Whatever brand of AC you want, I'm game for. Kaiba might already know of Elidibus through his interactions with Ryou, if you want to go that route. Ancient twink though is prone to adopting everyone younger than him.

Yes! He's always down for adventure.

He'll surely hear a lot about him from Ryou being excited about his magic lessons, ftt...Seto is a little magic-skeptic but he can't deny that Ryou's getting results. And this is something his boyfriend needs, so he vaguely approves.

Just wait until the Creation Magic reveal happens. Unfortunately he can't teach that but... it's fun to play with.

(And eventually work on a way to give back, he's planning to become a smith)

Okay but like. Ryou having to heal / give first aid to Kaiba at some point.

Or Kaiba having to get Ryou out of a bad situation.

I want these two to really learn to trust and rely on each other beyond what they already do.

*yes*. Seto would go out after Ryou to find him after a little worrying...he knows judo and isn't afraid to use his budding claws, but he's still weak compared to the full blown dragons.

But that won't stop him from trying.
