Hello and welcome to Children of Bahamut!

This OOC post will be for all your introductory and/or plotting needs! For newcomers, we want to give a space to outline their initial thoughts and plans to get started strong. For established players, feel free to make your event and other plans for the future here!

You can use the form below! If you play more than one character, you're free to make a top-level for just your relevant player information and comment beneath with each respective character.

What tropes are your favorite to explore? Any quests in particular that catch your eye you'd like to see about getting people to do? <b>Anything else?</b> This is for anything especially important to note about your character, but also often the designated meme section.

As a few quick notes:

⁂ The Brain Boggling event log is up in its entirety! Use this post to plot for it, but feel free to top-level or tag into the actual event at your leisure.
⁂ We want to encourage people to continue to use the quest board to get themselves established in the community and building reputation if they want something to do!
⁂ Character claims are always open until we hit the player cap! So, please keep checking back on this post for new players or characters that might be added to ensure everyone receives a warm welcome!

Most of all, we want people to have fun and let us know if your character gets up to anything good, bad, or whatever! All of it will influence the world around them and potentially have benefits or consequences.

About: Busy mom of two small children, who plays a variety of (largely Final Fantasy) video games. Tagging wise I tend to be slow but consistent - I will get back to everything eventually.

⁂ PLOT WITH ME
Character: Lahabrea
Canon: Final Fantasy XIV
Canon Point: shortly prior to Zodiark's summoning
Age: some thousands of years
Dragon Bond: Kepesk Hurthi, a black dragon with a fondness for fishing who was inclined to try and help people, focusing specifically on political conflict and resolving tense situations.


Up until recently the vast majority of Lahabrea's physical changes were hidden by his robes, but now that his tail and wings are starting to appear that's due to change.

About Your Blorbo: Stern and serious, Lahabrea is very much that one professor who takes no nonsense and has distinct Opinions. Like all Ancients, he is also capable of a wide variety of magic, with a specialty in creation magic (specifically phantomology but he knows a lot about the rest of the field.)

Game/Event Plan(s): Lahabrea is OP enough that he is probably not going to have too much trouble during the event. But I am also down for memory shenanigans, whether that be people catching some of his or him getting someone else's. I don't have a specific list for memories he can offer, but some of the notable highlights include: dealing with a very literal world-ending calamity, anything to do with the research lab he built dealing with dangerous monsters, or the fact that his ex-wife was a full-on Evil Scientist complete with attempting to become a literal god.
Interested In: Anything! I'm here to see what sort of shenanigans can come of this event and what it might mean for his CR. I'm also down to have him use his (canon) transformation, if there's a good reason for it even if I need to finalize a design.
