Hello and welcome to Children of Bahamut!

This OOC post will be for all your introductory and/or plotting needs! For newcomers, we want to give a space to outline their initial thoughts and plans to get started strong. For established players, feel free to make your event and other plans for the month of November here!

As a few quick notes:

⁂ The Fae Festivities event log is up in its entirety! Use this post to plot for it, but feel free to top-level or tag into the actual event at your leisure.
⁂ We want to encourage people to continue to use the quest board to get themselves established in the community and building reputation if they want something to do!
⁂ Character claims are always open until we hit the player cap! So, please keep checking back on this post for new players or characters that might be added to ensure everyone receives a warm welcome!

Most of all, we want people to have fun and let us know if your character gets up to anything good, bad, or whatever! All of it will influence the world around them and potentially have benefits or consequences.

Character: Rosie
Canon: Original
Canon Point: When she thinks she's McDead!
Age: 25 (physically), 340 (chronologically)
Dragon Bond: Rosie has Demora Luthric, a green dragon, in her brain! She was a therapist for veterans and loved being out in nature. Considering Rosie needs both of those things, this will hopefully be good for her!

About Your Blorbo (cw: mentions of sex work): If you combine the songs Blank Space by Taylor Swift and Fergalicious by Fergie, you get Rosie as a person. She's a hypersexual nightmare dressed as a daydream. She had spent her life the last few years before here basically being the person - specifically rich older men who want to fuck her - most desired in the moment. As a result, she doesn't really like to let people get to know the real her... because she also thinks the real her is pretty ugly, honestly. While quite emotionally driven, she is also emotionally dysregulated. She tends to be easily jealous, petty, and horribly insecure... But! She also loves music, cares deeply about those she considers friends, and truly just wants a quiet simple life with lots of dogs even if she fights against that and makes bad choices.

Event Plan(s): So far, Rosie has been living it up and treating being here as a second chance at life. She enjoys simple domesticity more than she thought she would, too! Without trashy daytime TV entertainment, she's been forced to write her own friendfiction as well as start to matchmake / be a busy body in other people's lives.

For this event specifically though...

❥ In contrast to Ardyn, Rosie is hyperaware of her dragon changes so far. She'll be dressing more modestly and in loose clothing as a result to hide the scales growing in, her stubby little horns, and tiny tail.

❥ However, that's not going to stop her from being a thot. She saw that implication by the italicized text to otherwise entertain herself in the festival huts. She'll be looking for the hook-up(s) with Fae folk NPCs, mostly, but if anyone is interested...! Whether that be instead of an NPC or catching her in the act and letting her live her exhibitionist freak dreams, let me know!

❥ She's going to love the games and participate in as many as she can! The dress up might upset her if too much skin is revealed or it's too ridiculous, but she'll try and play it off as best as she can.

❥ She'll be performing with Slayd and the Possum Posse at least for a little bit! It's a fun way for her to show off her musical talent, honestly, and for people to see a more sincere side of her in her love of music.

❥ The Fae kind of remind Rosie of her kind, the yokai, so she'll actually feel pretty comfortable exploring! She'll go down into the deeper layers. If anyone wants a reason to go down there, they can follow this seemingly lost little helpless lady because she obviously needs protection! She doesn't, but she'll play along.

Interested In: Eventually, I want her to hit the wall of trying to keep people at arm's length for several reasons (that all mostly go back to being afraid of the connection) and feeling displaced, othered, and alone once again. Hopefully, this is where her dragon-soul can help her by 1) making it so she isn't literally alone and 2) trying to guide her to be a little more vulnerable with people.

Long-term, I also want her to find value in herself outside of sex & feeling like she needs to appeal to / be liked by everyone she comes across.

Popp would absolutely go into the Bad Idea forest if he thought someone he knew needed help in there and I want an excuse for him to go into the Bad Idea forest. What if she gets eaten by trees??

If he had a gold piece for every time something like this happened he'd have two gold pieces which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice

The thread will be very fun for me even if he doesn't get poisoned at all, though, I have all kinds of ways to give him a hard time in a cursed forest

Hi fellow OC! Rosie sounds fun and it sounds like there a few fun similarities to play with. Sheliak was the sole heir to the noble Saarela house so he maintains a careful stillness, never causing any unnecessary ripples that could damage his family’s reputation. Like Rosie, he also thinks his real self is ugly and hides his flaws behind an icy mask of perfection. He also has a bit of a monster inside him that is tied to his magic and that he hides from the rest of the world.

Sheliak loves music and has a soft spot with musicians so seeing Rosie perform could be a good way for them to meet.

hello hello!!! ohhh, yes, it sounds like they're a bit of a night and day situation in how they handle keeping up appearances. rosie, friendly and flirty and fun because people ask less questions or think anything is wrong and Sheliak withholding instead... it'd be fun to see them interact!!

Sheliak's best friend and secret lover used that approach. It sounds exhausting and too disruptive for his taste but he loved that about Arrakis nonetheless. Sounds great! I just finished Sheliak's toplevel or I can tag yours, whichever is easier for you.
