Hello and welcome to Children of Bahamut!

This OOC post will be for all your introductory and/or plotting needs! For newcomers, we want to give a space to outline their initial thoughts and plans to get started strong. For established players, feel free to make your event and other plans for the future here!

You can use the form below! If you play more than one character, you're free to make a top-level for just your relevant player information and comment beneath with each respective character.

Most of all, we want people to have fun and let us know if your character gets up to anything good, bad, or whatever! All of it will influence the world around them and potentially have benefits or consequences.

About: Loves dogs, but owns a cat. Tank main in FFXIV. Chocobokin in FFXI. I like Final Fantasy, if you couldn't guess, and honestly most RPGs in general. Rich, sprawling world lore appeals to me most which is why it likely makes sense I'm one of your co-mods! My current main hobbies/interests are cross-stitch, watercolors, and writing.

My tagging speed ranges but I would put it generally in the 'slow' category these days just due to time constraints and life being difficult for the past bit. Trying to get back in a better rhythm, but no hard feelings if you'd like someone/something more fast-paced!

Character: Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd
Canon: Fire Emblem: Three Houses (pre-timeskip)
Canon Point: White Clouds, Chapter 11, Throne of Knowledge and just before the Flame Emperor reveal
Age: 17, a baby boy!
Dragon Bond: Leuge Rex! A gold dragon who became a teacher rather than any kind of grand historical figure or lived up to his kind's reputation as wanting fame/fortune.

About Your Blorbo: Have you ever wondered what a golden retriever personified is like? Look no further than Dimitri Blaiddyd! Despite a traumatizing early life, he still has so much capacity for near unconditional love in his heart for those he holds close. It eventually ends up breaking him but, hey, he's not there...! He's fine. Don't worry about the lingering darkness behind his eyes, the fact he can kill without a moment's hesitation if necessary, and has super strength he can't always control.

Just call him a good boy and watch his metaphorical tail wag. Precious.

Game/Event Plan(s): Since Dimitri will be in his half-shape at this point, he's a little self-conscious about his appearance in some regards. Being around the Beastmen will be kind of nice to not feel so... strange. Otherwise, my general plans are:

♔ The 8AM wake-up won't deter him any. Honestly, he rises with the sun already so he'll be ready and raring to go. If you need an alarm clock or someone to help your character not miss the caravan, he's the best boy for the job.

♔ For exploring Vorrun, I'm interested in the hot springs episode! He'll do community service without needing to be asked by default as a helpful lad. The hide and seek will be fun for him, too, and he's canonically very good with children which would be a fun thing to highlight! He is by our standards underage for drinking, but the plum wine also appeals to me in the sense of getting Dimitri a little tipsy and watching the results. Look at that white boy go.

♔ For exploring, I'm going to sign him up for the abandoned battlefield and Cascara Pass since he's more strong/capable.

Interested In: Dimitri is a teen boy who doesn't really... know how to be a teen boy! He's very serious and uptight, but means the best. I'd like him to know more people his own age and get to live a little instead of having the constant weight of being a future king and responsibility of all that on his shoulders.

Popp is available for both battlefield meanderings (he will let Dimitri have dibs on the spear if they find it) and also shenanigans like horsing around in the water or chasing down Tanuki. Popp is not good with children but in the way where he is fun to mess with.

Character: Rosie
Canon: Original
Canon Point: Ninth Life, which is basically just the point she thinks she died
Age: 333, but looks about mid-20s physically
Dragon Bond: Rosie has Demora Luthric, a green dragon, in her brain! She was a therapist for veterans and loved being out in nature. Considering Rosie needs both of those things, this will hopefully be good for her!

About Your Blorbo (cw for: mentions of sex work): If you combine the songs Blank Space by Taylor Swift and Fergalicious by Fergie, you get Rosie as a person. She's a hypersexual nightmare dressed as a daydream. She had spent her life the last few years before here basically being the person - specifically rich older men who want to fuck her - most desired in the moment. As a result, she doesn't really like to let people get to know the real her... because she also thinks the real her is pretty ugly, honestly.

While quite emotionally driven, she is also emotionally dysregulated. She tends to be easily jealous, petty, and horribly insecure... But! She also loves music, cares deeply about those she considers friends, and truly just wants a quiet simple life with lots of dogs even if she fights against that and makes bad choices.

Game/Event Plan(s): Haha wow this kind of sucks, the redux. But mostly just for Rosie, who has some... trauma around being essentially a 'Beastman' of her world.

❥ The 8AM wake-up will be brutal for Rosie. She will probably fall asleep on your shoulder during the ride there to begin with. I am totally open to doing a cute, fluffy thread about this if anyone wants.

❥ Vorrun will be reminiscent of home... but in a lot of the bad ways for Rosie, unfortunately. She may seem comfortable and on edge a bit, at first, before realizing nothing bad is going to happen. She'll check out the hot springs, help out around town, and find tanuki. Despite her anxieties about it, she is surprisingly good with kids/matronly so that would be fun for people to see.

❥ She'll be exploring the mountainsides and Rovan Naah's Grave so if anyone wants to team up for those, let me know!

Interested In: Long-term, I want her to find value in herself outside of sex & feeling like she needs to appeal to / be liked by everyone she comes across. She's struggling with body image still though and, like, connection with others in a more meaningful way so also wanting to focus on deepening some of the CR she does have.

Character: Ardyn Izunia
Canon: FFXV
Canon Point: The nebulous 10-year gap between Chapter 13 & 14
Age: He just turned 2034! His birthday was April 30th
Dragon Bond: Jhank Troth, a silver metallic dragon who is a stupid narc in his head that makes Ardyn feel bad about his shitty choices. THANKS, HE HATES IT. They're like an old married couple mentally who bicker about what's 'right' a lot of the time.

About Your Blorbo: Ardyn is, on a surface level, very theatrical and seemingly unbothered by a lot. The man doesn't appear to take much seriously and makes jokes or pokes fun at even dire circumstances. He can come across as creepy, suggestive but also civil, composed, and calm even in the face of hostility.

This is all just thinly veiled attempts to provoke others though since he's basically got some literal demonic sludge disease in his body that tells him to be an asshole. He also is just kind of an asshole sometimes without it needing to influence him, but still! He's a man who believes revenge is a dish best served cold over millennia but also wants an end to his exhausting, miserable existence once he gets it.

Game/Event Plan(s): Aw yeah, a new place to infect enjoy

↬ The 8AM wake-up call is also going to be brutal for Ardyn who avoids the day as much as possible and especially the early morning hours. Sun too bright, he is so sleepy, etc. He also has the possibility of falling asleep on someone but please shove him off and out of the moving vehicle. It's what he deserves.

↬ His community service is mandatory, as mentioned, but he'll be drinking plum wine on the "job" naturally. Someone should dunk him in the hot springs because he's stinky. I had the funny idea of him unintentionally finding some tanuki children in the hide & seek game and playing unexpected babysitter. Despite his otherwise rank vibes, kids do like him because he's a clown of a man.

↬ Ardyn will be exploring Wayside Bay mostly to round out my 3 covering all the bases. I'm open to other places if people want to team up, but that's where he'll be!

↬ I am going to have him spar the NPCs eventually. Probably, most likely Charlie despite the restraining order against him. I expect him to get his ass handed to him and be even weirder about our local deity because of it.

Interested In: Ardyn is a villainous sort so that means he can be manipulative, cold, and calculating when trying to get what he wants. Obviously, the long-term is he gets better about this and isn't such a dick eventually.

Personally, I also like exploring the depths of depravity he can reach and some of the darker, more fucked up parts of him. I know that isn't for everyone though so either lmk or I'll check in if things start veering a potentially Bad Direction.
